This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your data when you visit andantedev.com or apply for the pilot. It is a first version, written to be clear rather than exhaustive, and we will expand it as Andante grows.
What this page covers
Only this website and our pilot list. The Andante product itself isn’t available yet; when it is, it will come with its own notice describing how it handles data.
Who we are
Andante is built by Carmine Porpora, founder. For anything about your data, write to carmine.porpora@andantedev.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you apply for the pilot, and only if you type it into the form.
- Three answers about your team, when you apply, together with your email: your team size (as a range), your country and the tools your team uses. We use them to tailor the pilot and to see which teams qualify for it.
- Basic connection data. Like any website, the servers and networks that deliver this site see your IP address and basic request details (the page requested, your browser type, the time). This is needed to deliver the site, keep it secure and limit abuse.
- Your IP address, briefly, when you use the sign-up form. It is kept in the server’s memory, not in a database, to count sign-up attempts over a rolling ten-minute window and stop automated abuse. It is cleared when the server restarts.
- Your IP address and browser, alongside your subscription. When you confirm your email, we keep a record of the IP address, browser and the date you gave consent, together with the subscription itself. This is our record that you agreed to join the list, not a tracking measure.
What we don’t do
- No cookies and no similar tracking technologies on this site.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- No third-party embeds. Even the fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser only talks to andantedev.com.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share your email address or your answers with anyone other than the providers below, who help us send you email and keep the list.
Who helps us run this
- Resend, an email service provider based in the United States, sends our emails on our behalf.
- Cloudflare hosts the website’s server and the database where the pilot list itself lives — we keep the list ourselves, not a third party.
- Cloudflare provides the network in front of the site: DNS, delivery of pages and protection against abuse.
These providers process data only to provide their service to us. Resend and Railway are headquartered in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the EU.
How we use your email
To send you a confirmation message and then to be in touch about the pilot, with occasional updates about Andante’s progress. No spam.
We use double opt-in: you are added to the list only after you click the link in the confirmation email. If you don’t confirm, you are not subscribed.
Why, and for how long
- Your email address, your answers about your team and your consent record: we rely on your consent, given when you apply and then confirm your subscription. We keep them, and the record that you agreed, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Connection data: we rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing the website. We keep it only as long as our providers’ operations require.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in our emails, or by writing to carmine.porpora@andantedev.com. You can also ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, data-protection law (GDPR) gives you these rights, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
If we change this page in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top.
